Oscar Gonzalez III

As the other principal of the firm, Oscar Gonzalez heads the Construction Division, Mr. Gonzalez has more than16 years of extensive experience in public information campaigns for multiple infrastructure projects. He has worked on all phases of project development for the Florida Department of Transportation including planning, PD&E, design-design/build and construction. This comprehensive experience gives him the unique capability to understand each project and develop and implement public information/awareness campaigns that flow seamlessly to the next phase of development. Mr. Gonzalez has also had the opportunity to work with many agencies and community groups and as a result has developed strong relationships with elected officials from many municipalities. Laila A. Haddad
Senior Public Information Officer
Laila Haddad is public relations professional with experience in the transportation and underground infrastructure industries. Her background includes developing and managing public information programs, partnership and consensus building, interagency collaboration, media relations and development of content for internal and external publications. Ms. Haddad is also well-versed in emergency response and crisis communications. She brings with her nearly a decade of international experience, having worked in over a dozen countries. She began her career nearly 31 years ago in Cairo, Egypt, building partnerships between US manufacturers and the US AID Program. She is currently serving as the Senior Public Information Officer on the I-595 Corridor Improvements/Express Project for the Florida Department of Transportation, District Four. Senior Public Information Officer
Ms. Torrez is a government communications specialist with a strong journalism background. As a senior member of Media Relations Group, she serves as the in-house Public Information consultant for the Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) District Six Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Program. She leads the public involvement office for the Department’s real-time traffic management division and oversees all internal and external communications, including media and community relations. Public Information Officer
Lauren Hatchell is a public information and communications professional with more than 10 years of experience, working in various aspects of communications and media. Prior to joining MRG, Ms. Hatchell worked in the Public Information Office for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District One where she was responsible for communicating with media and elected officials, managing citizen inquiries, assisting in the publication of bi-monthly district newsletters, compiling daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, reviewing and editing project related collateral for distribution and creating and preparing press packages including press releases in preparation of public meetings, information sessions, municipal official briefings and other special events. Public Information Officer
Jorge Valens comes to MRG with over five years of online media and editorial experience in various print news organizations throughout South Florida. Mr. Valens currently assists MRG’s Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Public Information Officer in disseminating project information to industry publications, and providing public information support. He also consults with the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization by providing new and innovative public outreach methods for the 2040 update for the Long Range Transportation Plan. Mary Gainor is a Graphic Designer who has performed design work for local municipalities and non-profit organizations in Central and South Florida. During her career she has successfully served as a design outlet for many high profile projects and has led the creation and design of marketing campaigns, project websites, brochures, electronic and print media, signage, logo design and multi-media presentations. Business Development Manager
During her 18 year career Mrs. Summers has successfully developed promotional collaterals, planned public relations efforts, managed proposal deadlines, and executed in-house communication programs, while working closely with consultants and clients. She has successfully executed public relations and media outreach initiatives, while managing multiple project deadlines and providing exceptional client service. Dilcia Salinas is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the office, handling schedules and assisting senior staff with duties at MRG.
